TL;DR: Stats are stationary, battling is fun.
When you first look at the weird stats we have on this site, you might get a little intimidated - but fear not! It's not as weird or complicated as it seems, and I'll tell you why in four steps!
1) First we'll go over what each of the stats actually mean:
Strength (STR): A measure of your general ability to attack and defend physically. Dexterity (DEX): A measure of your speed, aim, and ability to hide or sneak around. Wisdom (WIS): A measure of your magical ability and ability to defend against magic. This has nothing to do with your intelligence! Luck (LUCK): A measure of how lucky you are... Were you expecting more? Good things happen when you're lucky.
2) Stats are stationary. The stat you have upon creating your character is going to be that character's stat for good! Well, not for good good. There are certain ways to gain the experience necessary to increase a stat, but it is completely based on what you do in character, not on what items you can afford or how long you've been a member.
3) Speaking of being a member for a long time! No matter if you just created your character, or have had your character here for years, you will be pretty much balanced between one another. Why is that? Well, when you create your character, you give us a percentage for your stats to be allocated to (let's say 10% STR, 20% Dex, 60% WIS and 10% LUCK). Then, based on your application and what your character has experienced in their life, we'll give you a total stat amount and then split it up based on those percentages!
And the same happens for everyone. So while you would have low stats if you're a little girl who specializes in flower-picking, you'll end up with a strong haul if you're an expert warrior. Take a look at the meaning behind the numbers: 000-024: Terrible 025-075: Average 076-200: Novice 201-300: Good 301-500: Intermediate 501-750: Great 751-850: Notable 851-900: Powerful 901-990: Legendary 991-1000: Godly
4) So if someone who just made their character has 500 STR, and you have a level 15 character with 500 STR, are we evenly matched? Not quite! Level has an effect on stats, actually. This is determined by applying your level to a stat as if it were a percentage. So, if you have 500 STR at level 15:
15% of 500 = 75 500 + 75 = 575 STR!
One important note is that the absolute cap for any of a character's stats is 990. Therefore, even if you have something like 1100 in a stat after factoring your level in, it will be capped down to 990 instead.
Hope that helps with the matter of stats!
Now for the matter of battling... It's quite simple.
You battle like you would on any other forum! Just trusting your own instincts and trusting your opponent to be fair, using your own stats and weapons to give you an idea of your character's general ability.
For example, if two characters were having a sword fight, and one of them had both a higher STR stat and a stronger Sword, it would be logical to assume that that one would have the advantage. So once again, it's just a matter of being fair to each other and using good sense!
If you face any troubles or feel that your opponent is power-playing or god-modding, just send a PM to me or any other staff member and we will look into it!
