And then slipped a hand into his pocket, pulling out the handkerchief. He kissed it lightly and then threw it into Pelagia's face, drifting downwards to cross the finish line.

Cherry giggled, bending over to put a blanket on him and a pillow beneath his head, then gave him a peck on the forehead. "Sweet dreams~" she cooed, and then strolled across the Checkpoint line.

Tommy and Pelagia were getting into it a lot more seriously now. The two were neck-and-neck for the semi-final check-point and both knew THEY would be the one to get it. Unfortunately their distraction at each other allowed for Cherry to sneak by rather simply. All it took was a little deft footwork and-- there! She was into the finals.

Pelagia was quite pleased to see Thomas disqualified, as well as Ashlin being a cheerleader on the sidelines, but now! It was time for the final stretch!
She turned just in time to see Cherry happily skipping toward the Finish Line.
"Noooooo!!!" She roared, eager to assert her dominance, and zoomed as fast as she could toward the finish line...!
It was a photo finish! But Cherry's toe crossed over in a happy little skip just before Pel's nose.
"Hooray! Yeah!" Cherry cheered, and was awarded ALL THE ICE CREAM SANDWHICHES.
Pel, sighed, looking disappointed. "Well darn it." She said, kicking a pebble. She then walked away.

Violet, under the guise of a Trash Can, silently crept across the checkpoint while all the other contestants were bickering at the starting line. The boolabally of ribblerabble always got so ramvumskitti at these things, and most of the in-fighting always seemed to happen near the start the whole whoodad!
It certainly made sneakarooming past everyone a flamdibbity of a success!

However, as Ein was joggin by at a brisk pace, enjoying life and nature, he saw the poor girl trip. "My, what a poor soul!" he declared, and in an act of chivalry, picked the girl up to her feet and dusted her off gently. "Now now, don't be dissuaded! Run along to the checkpoint my dear, for I have elected to simply jog along at my own pace! This world is far too bright and vivid for me to ignore it so crassly merely due to a preoccupation as silly as a race!" Ein explained in his most grand voice. "I simply couldn't abide it! Not one bit! But alas, mine eyes are trained to see that which many others cannot, and so I do not begrudge those who take as little notice of this grand scape as I! So go, my dear, go and win! For in your eyes shines an inner beauty deserving of victory!"
By the time Ein had finished his ramblings and opened his eyes, Katerine was already gone, and had already rushed to the finish line. Ein laughed heartily and went on his way.
