Once again, Mackenzie was alone in the forest at night. He didn't think that it was all bad, though, because the most fullest moon that he had ever seen was in the sky, and he felt that if he climbed a tree, he would be able to touch it. The moon light the forest clearing the he currently sat in, casting everything in a wonderful silver glow, not unlike the silver parts of his hair.
Staring up at the moon, Mackenzie felt so very tiny. It wasn't a bad kind of tiny, just humbled. He even felt like showing the moon respect by howling at it, but he was just too mesmerized by its glow. The stars surrounding the moon were beautiful as well, but paled in comparison to the bright orb in the sky.
Mackenzie's tail began to wag. He slowly drew in breath, closed his eyes, and let out the best howl that a dog could do. He felt positively giddy, or at least he did until he heard a twig snap from within the trees. He immediately stopped howling in order to hear or see who made that noise. He was relieved to see an owl chasing after a mouse, attempting to land on it's prey. that must have been it. Thought the dog, and sat down to stare at the moon again.
