Character Appearance: Jance's navy-blue and shimmering white mottled hair is a dead give-away for his Lakunai race, along with his pale white skin. His hair is relatively short, about two to three inches in the back, but the bangs framing his young and smoothly angled face are about twice as long. The shimmering splotches in his hair are most apparent near the tips, with other bits and patches also glinting throughout. His skin is a pure white and it shimmers as well as his hair when he's outside in the starlight.

Jance loves the feel of the stars' light on his skin, and he tends to show that in his wardrobe; he wears thin white shirts - that at times are near impossible to differentiate from his pale skin- that have only half-length sleeves or shorter and occasionally he tops it with a dark sleeveless vest, his bare forearms always showing. He also has an apparently useless strap of fabric from his right side belt-loop to his left, and sometimes his sleeves decorated with excess strips of fabric at the end. He wears long pants and light but sturdy boots, all black in color. He also wears a his pair of goggles at all times; either around his neck or nestled into his hair. The only time he ever uses the orange tinted goggles are when he's planning on teleporting somewhere, which "protect" his dark purple eyes and their silver specks.

His elf heritage's slower aging makes him appear 22, 147 years younger than his actual age.



Special Power/Ability: Jance can send and take images to and from other peoples' minds.

Personality: Jance is the type of person who pretends to think more highly of himself than he really does. He doesn't have too high of self-esteem, as much as he acts like he does, but he jokes around and tends to act overly cocky. He enjoys making people smile, however, so his smug attitude is never really that harsh. And though he loves praise, his ego tends not to over-inflate, and though he may act as though it does, at those times it obvious that he's joking.

Also, Jance's constant [[and somewhat ridiculously flamboyant at times]] good mood is very obvious in his actions and movements; he talks very animatedly and uses his hands as he speaks - ex. he'll describe something large and stretch his arms wide at the same time - and his smile is constantly wide and as bright white as his skin.

The Lakuni also has a bit of a soft side, however, and his urge to make people smile kicks in when someone's hurt or unhappy; he'll try to cheer them up with either kindness or just care, and he would even sacrifice himself for another to keep them happy.

Likes: Praise, being able to explain a lot of things, but not everything, teleportation, magic tricks, smiles, singing [[though it's arguable as to whether others agree]].

Dislikes: War, pain, people that really are over confident, clouds that cover the stars, rain.

History: Jance had a relatively sheltered childhood, due to his parents being overly protective and stubborn. But since an early age, Jance was practicing his inherent ability to teleport, starting with simple things like one corner of his room to another, progressing to things like sneaking out of the house to the store to buy snacks and to play with the children who lived three houses away. Jance picked up a pair of orange tinted goggles on his first time sneaking out of the house but they were a bit big; he only was able to wear them comfortably once he had reached about 90 years of age.

Jance realized though, that he needed to be able to picture the place in his mind to accurately get the location down pat; he had an unfortunate incedent where he tried to teleport to the mens' lavatory in a new Artavian resturaunt, however he found himself blushing furiously into the face of a woman who had been washing her hands. Luckily, his unusual ability to exchange images from his mind to others' came to be a great advantage; he would constantly take images from his unnoticing parents' minds before locking himself in his room to sneak out minutes later.

After he outgrew his home and his parents finally relinquished their iron-strong grip on him, Jance took to traveling, wanting to see as much of the world as he could to have a greater span of teleportation; because after all, the farther the destination and the greater the distance, the longer the travel took and the longer that the sensation that he loved lasted, because the difference between one and five seconds could be extraordinary.
