Name: Ashlin Driel
Gender: Female
Race: Anthromorph
Character Age: 16
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 121 lbs
Character Appearance: A young girl in her teens, Ashlin has a long but graceful figure in her humanoid form, while her other form is a small bluebird. Her long but think arms and legs appear weak, but her thin figure is covered with extremely toned lean muscle [[try aiming a punch at her stomach while she's paying attention if you need proof]]. Her humanoid form being taller than average, she uses her long legs as a main asset in battle and even for just showing off.
She dresses in short, sleeveless and strapless dresses, commonly decorated with large blue, black, and white feathers that match her own, with nearly arm length black gloves. She keeps her hair cut with short bangs in the front, and the rest longer and wrapped up in the back, close to her head, the color white with a blue-ish tint. She also wears a small headband decorated with feathers and a small crown that match her dresses, purely for her own enjoyment. Her eyes are surprisingly wide, and a vibrant shade of violet, but the shape and color complement her face nicely.
Ashlin tends to stay in her humanoid form, finding much more pleasure in her own form of walking [] than flight, even if she loves the feeling.
Special Power/Ability: Ashlin is double jointed and extremely flexible, if that counts as one.
Personality: The complete opposite of her superior, Ashlin is a very bubbly, curious person. Though she's always bouncing as she walks, she's a bit of an adrenaline addict as well. Always smiles and giggles, Ashlin always appears full of glee, even on the battle field, where she can kill with a sweet grin. However, she hates spilling blood, so she uses other methods to kill, like breaking necks with a quick snap.
When faced with the local boys, many tend to be infatuated fools near her, though she constantly is turning them down; it seems as though many people mistook her giggly attitude as flirting, though it is rarely the case.
After being named as Xista's second, her personality had little change, aside from the fact that she only had more things to wonder over, including the feeling of power and the increased need for battle. The only time her happiness is overpowered is when she's too curious to smile.
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Likes: Sweets, bubbles, shades of blue, flight, swimming, water, adrenaline rushes, speed.
Dislikes: Wearing pants [[they restrict her legs' freedom]], spilling blood, spicy foods.
History: Since her childhood, when her parents enrolled Ashlin in martial arts classes for "self-protection", the girl had loved the feel of a fight, the rush of adrenaline when it pumped through her blood. With her agility, Ashlin moved through the ranks of the art quickly, becoming the highest level and therefore "unteachable" at only age nine. After this, Ashlin chose to train in secret, developing her own style of fighting that involves a large amount of agility and flexibility. She kept her skill to herself, mostly, until one day Ashlin noticed a boy her age bent over a small bird with a broken wing. Immediately she walked over to the boy and smiled, only to notice his fingers twitch to break the other wing's hollow bone. At this, smile still on her face, Ashlin pinned his arm up to the wall's corner behind them and with a swift kick broke his arm straight in half.
She danced off and left the boy crying on the ground, not watching where she was going, eyes watching her feet bounce from step to step. But when a foot appeared suddenly in front of her own, she looked up only just in time to see the older girl look up from the book that her nose was buried in and make eye contact, and Ashlin spun off to the left to avoid the potentially hazardous crash.
The girl with the book and long lavender hair just stared for a moment before thoughtfully mumbling something about "nice reflexes” and both girls went their separate ways.
A few days later, Ashlin was at the local grocer's buying sweets when she noticed the girl from the other day watching her calmly, a different book in hand. She moved the money from her hand to the bag with her candy and picked up the bag with the other hand in one swift movement, bouncing past the other girl when she felt a firm grip on her arm, holding her still.
"Your movements are strange...have you been trained in something?"
"Martial arts," Ashlin mentioned with a smile. "Why?"
"...would you like to train with me? My name is Pelagia Xista."
Ashlin blinked curiously before smiling again. "Of course!"
Pelagia nodded swiftly before walking off, still firmlygrippingn Ashlin's arm. "However, you mustn't tell anyone, understand?"
Theyounger girl nodded. "Got it. How old are you, anyway? And can I call you "Pelly?"" Her voice was eager. "Will we get to spar and stuff?"
"I'm sixteen, I guess that's fine, and yes, we will spar. Now what's your age? You seem too young to be a martial artist."
"I'm ten," Ashlin replied with a sweet smile. "But I bet I could still fight you."
Pelagia's expression remained calm, but her tone was satisfied as she replied with a simple "We shall see."
Years of training, sparring, and "stuff"-ing later, Pelagia named herself the warlord of Aurcaele, with the young Ashlin by her side.
"You will be my second-in-command, alright?" Pelagia's face was cool and collected, her voice smooth with satisfaction at her new title.
"Really?? So will I be in a lot of battles with you?"
Pelagia nodded. "But in public, I am "Lady Xista," correct? And don't let anybody get too close to you, I don't want anyone knowing the truth about my motives. And be prepared, there will be controversy over my choice of you."
Ashlin giggled with the same old smile. "Yes ma'am, Lady Xista."
Immediately after the announcements by Xista had been made, the publicity hopped on the opportunity, focusing particularly on the young girl that was appointed the new warlord's second. Tabloids were written, boys crowded, and rumors started. And as much as Ashlin followed her friend Xista loyally, many tabloids were questioning their relationship.
"Uhm...Miss Driel, I was wondering...-" Another day, another dozen boys asking for her to acknowledge their existence.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not going out with you," Ashlin said bluntly, a sweet smile on her face. Pelly said I shouldn't let people get too close to us, they might figure out our secret... And Xista's word was law.
"So you and Xista really are...?"
Just friends...but I shouldn't say that. "We're nothing," she replied, eyes squeezed shut with another smile.
Thus, the rumors continued. Apparently, "nothing" meant "something" to the civilians, which was mildly irksome, and interesting to say the least, but definitely ignorable.

Roleplay Example:Okay so maybe the left path hadn't been the best choice. As the path that she had chosen continued on, the walls just kept getting closer and closer, until eventually Ashlin had had to move to walk behind her friend, which slowed her pace considerably. But the girl still continued to bounce as they walked, alternating every fourth step with a hop-skip sort of movement. But of course she heard the expected sarcastic remark from her companion as the tunnel continued to shrink. Ash let out a sheepish giggle; "Well it looked less sticky..." she commented as her feet responded with a small suction sound. "Sorry," she giggled, not sounding astoundingly very apologetic.
But Ashlin did feel somewhat sorry for her friend; even though the younger girl could move freely - aside from the occasional ducking to keep her light hair clean - Pel had the worse of it. Her wings were visibly scrunched right up against her back, trying to keep the beautiful feathers from being covered in...what ever that gunk on the narrowing walls was. "Maybe that left, straight, left, straight, left, straight, le-..." Ashlin cut herself off. "Maybe it only works when there's an exit? Like, there might not even be an actual exit, because we're going down, right?" She spoke quickly, not really expecting an answer, and she knew that Pelagia wouldn't reply; she was too used to Ash talking to herself.
But...Pelly's suggestion. No no, not a suggestion, because the Aurcaelen warlord knew better than that. It sounded more like just a passing thought. "Pelly," Ashlin said with a light tone of "you-know-that's-not-right" in her voice, "If we did that, they'd fight back just as annoyingly as ever." The Attonians were frankly just annoying to the younger girl. She didn't have nearly as much knowledge or strategy as her superior, but even she knew that the Attonians would definitely fight back. "You're just getting yourself riled up," she said in a sing-song voice. Ashlin hopped a little at the thought of a battle, however; even though it was unrealistic, it still sounded fun.
"And another fork! Tunnels nowadays aren't as straight as they used to be," she joked when she saw the entrance to a tunnel on the right through the small gap between Pelagia and the wall. However, her friend chose the path she wanted this time, of course, aside from her suggestion of Ash going ahead and checking first.
And of course the younger girl obliged happily; "Yes ma'am," she giggled with a fake salute to her friend and superior before she hopped a foot and transformed with a small "pop!" Sure it was a little more painful to change form so quickly as to not fall, but it was more fun than having to take off from a sticky floor. Especially when she might not have enough strength even to get off of such an unrelenting surface.
Ashlin sang out a few notes to her friend before flicking quickly into the continuing tunnel ahead, her cerulean wings stretching where her arms could not in the small space. Her smaller eyes had to strain to make out the passage in front of her, the shine of the slim on the walls the only indicator of where she was going.
