Bard A bard is a person who sings and (typically) plays an instrument, and uses these skills as a way to make end’s meet. Bards are often confused with loremasters, as they both tell epics and other such tales through their performances. Bards are more popular, however, as they often give people a tune to dance to and be merry. A Bard is paid simply by the people who watch them – should those people choose to offer their Gold. The better the performance, the more likely it is to receive money from it. Specific Job Requirements: Not applicable. Paycheck: 0+ Gold per performance
Loremaster A loremaster is similar to a bard in that they relay stories to people in interesting and new ways – Loremasters merely tell stories though, they act them out in places like Pubs and City Centres. Loremasters are well known for their expansive memory for interesting tales… But they also are put second to the magic that a Bard can create with a lovely voice and an instrument. Loremasters are paid by the people who watch them, the better the story, the more likely the Loremaster is to receive any money from it. Specific Job Requirements: Not applicable. Paycheck: 0+ Gold per performance
Painter A painter is a person whom paints murals, portraits – anything to makes ends meet. These people either become famous for their original and/or impressive works, or they live in next-to-poverty with paintings that are unable to sell. Paycheck: 0+ Gold per painting

Paycheck: 5+ Gold per Performance
Sculptor Sculpting is a popular line of work due to the heavy workload that is gifted by countries and towns that need new legacies erected, or nobles who wish to pay homage to – well – themselves. However, despite the glory that surrounds the idea, the work is hard and taxing. Few can do it to a point where they are considered “great”. Once the status is proved, however, one can make quite a bit of money sculpting for the rich. Specific Job Requirements: Not applicable. Paycheck: 0+ Gold per Statue/Sculpture

Ambassador The highest ranking diplomat who represents his or her country. They are usually accredited to a foreign sovereign or government, or to an international organization, to serve as the official representative of their country. (*) Ambassadors act as the face of their country, essentially, and as such must be extremely charismatic and friendly. Ambassadors are, essentially, celebrities of their own right. Anyone caught up (even slightly) on world events is likely to know who the Ambassadors are – which is why the people who hold these positions must look good in their public and private lives. Mud-slinging paparazzi are often looking for ways to destroy the careers of such people. Specific Job Requirement: 6 months experience in other Law/Political job. Paycheck: 10 000 Gold per month
Lawyer There are two types of lawyers; one type is employed by the Diryn Government to argue their case against alleged criminal offenders. These lawyers are typically highly celebrated, though their pay is not necessarily up to scratch. The second type of lawyer is the type that is hired on commission by those that are accused to argue against them. These kinds of lawyers often range from the mature and righteous, to the seedy and do-anything-you-can-for-a-dime types. Their pay ranges on what they are commissioned for. Specific Job Requirement: 450 Wisdom, 100 Luck, 50 Dexterity Paycheck: (Gov’t Hired:) 100-15 000 Gold per month
Judge An extremely important member of the Court who holds in his (as Judges have thus far all been male) holds the final decision of court ruling in most countries, though in Dirys they only have some push against the jury that controls most of the judgement. Judges are often praised or snubbed, though either way they get paid handsomely. Judges are supposed to be the hand of justice… though not all of them follow the Code they are sworn to when they get on this far more prestigious payroll. Specific Job Requirement: 500 Wisdom, (In Dirys: 1 Year Exp. in ‘Lawyer’ Profession) Paycheck: (Gov’t Hired:) 100 000+ Gold per month
Nobility Nobility are people who are born or earn their way into high society and hold themselves there looking down on all of the people who don’t have exactly what they do. Nobles are occasionally called in to perform political duties. Specific Job Requirements: Noble’s Ring Paycheck: 10 000+ per month
President Not all countries are a monarchy. Some of them are a republic, having a carefully laid out system of governmental hierarchy that exists to ensure that one person does not have absolute authority and control over the lives of every other without those others having a say in it at all. In this system of government, the man in charge is known as a president. Despite the need for the people to have free will, they still need someone to represent them as a nation, and make all the decisions necessary during a time of crisis. In drastic times, the president may be given emergency powers by the senate, which would allow him function just like a monarch until the troublesome period is over. Special Job Requirement: Must be elected to this position by the general populace. Must have 1 year experience as a Senator Paycheck: 125 000 Gold per month
Royalty The Royalty are those who have been supposedly born into greatness, as their blood is that of the royal line. Anyone descended from a king or queen constitutes as one with royal blood, or even those descended from their brothers and sisters. Although, direct descendants will always be given priority over those who are not as it is said, "pure". The chances of someone who is not a direct son or daughter of the current reigning monarch taking over the throne are extremely slim, as a lot of people would have to die for this to take place. Special Job Requirement: Must have parents who are of Royal Blood and hold a station of royalty in said Kingdom. [PM Mellie (Admin) to find out if you may make a character of Royalty] Paycheck: Depends on country's Gold intake
Senator Those nations to which the presidents rule over, the ones that have democracy as their government system have what are called Senators, involved in the system. Senators are members or legislators of a senate. A senate is a deliberative assembly, often the upper house or chamber of a legislature or parliament. The Senators are the ones who run the country, as each senator represents a particular part of the country, and each senator has a say in what the final decision is. It is the senators that help to even out the power of a President, so that he is not a king. Archer An archer is one who works in the service of his country's military with a bow as his primary weapon. Archers are generally defensive and supportive, not the kind of troops you would send into the heat of battle. They cut down the enemy soldiers before they can get to close to the city walls with deadly, accurate arrows, or they make the job of the soldiers a lot easier by helping to thin the ranks of the enemy from afar before the soldiers can get too close. Special Job Requirement: 350 Dexterity Paycheck: 1 500 Gold per month
Cavalry The Calvary are the heavy mounted soldiers. They are the ones even the cynical Infantry who march into battle with their bare feet fear and respect. Clad from head to toe in armor, even their horses (/another subset of horse/dragons/gryphons) look like engines of war rather than beasts, they are able to sweep in from the side and flank their enemies with extreme speed and ferocity. While on their steeds, armed with lances or swords, they are the ones who will trample their way through the enemies ranks and lead the infantry into the heart of battle. Special Job Requirements: 100 Dexterity, 100 Strength. 50 Luck Paycheck: 2 000 Gold per month
Engineer Engineers have various responsibilities for their nation. They are able to build those contraptions that most others would simply boggle over. Having spent almost their entire lives studying the complications of technology and mechanics, they can produce inventions that lead some to wonder if there is not some magical force behind the contraptions they keep producing. Other than making casual things that help make life easier for people in the Nation, the Engineers are also bound by government law to assist in times of war, helping to build the mechanical war-machines that will assist soldiers during battle. Special Job Requirement: 100 Dexterity, 100 Wisdom Paycheck: 3 000 Gold per month + whatever you can sell your private-made inventions for. (You may not sell inventions made for the government)
General The mantle of general is a heavy responsibility for whoever holds it. The weight of many battles and the lives of the infantrymen and other soldiers rests in the hands of the one who holds this rank, and many a man has fallen underneath the heavy pressure that is put upon them not to disappoint those who have heavily put their faith in them. The General, while sometimes participating in battle, is more than likely to be the one who stays away from the field and co ordinates his men. Many generals still are extremely capable fighters, some even more capable than the best of their men, and are usually not looked upon as cowards. A lot of people understand that someone has to hang back to organize the battle and give out instructions. Not everyone should be out there swinging a blade or axe. Special Job Requirement: 600 Strength, 400 Dexterity, 100 Luck. 1 Year experience in Sergeant occupation. Paycheck: 10 000 Gold per month
Gunmen Gunmen are the people who hold the heavy shooting artillery of their army. This position is new, and in many armies does not even exist yet. Gunmen are armed with shotguns, rifles, cannons and occasionally even bombs to use against the opposing forces. They are also well trained in the mechanics of such a weapon, and thus is also considered to be en engineer within the army. Special Job Requirement: 450 Dexterity Paycheck: 2 000 per month
Infantry The Infantry are looked at by most as the heart of the army, as they make up the largest numbers and are the ones responsible for the winning or losing of a battle. The infantry are those brave men and women who place themselves on the front lines and charge into battle with zeal and efficiency, ready to defend their country till the very end of their own lives. The infantry, though not respected much by their government, are generally respected more by the citizens than any other section of the military. Many know how difficult it is to be them. Special Job Requirement: Not applicable Paycheck: 500 Gold per month
Mariner The mariners hold charge and maintenance of an armies on-water and underwater vessels, this includes submarines and battleships most commonly. Mariners must be well practiced in all of the positions on a ship, as a life is easily taken in any part of the army, and many of the positions must to kept to uphold the ship and escape from or confront an opponent. Special Job Requirement: 50 of each stat, one year experience in another section of the army Paycheck: 3 000 per month
Mercenary The Mercenary is more or less a wanderer, one who does what his employer asks of him without question - as long as the price is right. Mercenaries, most of them, are not beyond almost any act if they are being paid well to do it. Some do have principles and know that there are certain things that they would not do no matter the payment, but a majority do not, and therefore mercenaries are not particularly favoured by most peaceful individuals. A mercenary is more likely to be greeted with fear and hostility than anything else, if of course, his identity is known. Special Job Requirement: Not applicable Paycheck: Whatever you and the employer agree upon
Pilot The freshest position in the army, and only found in the Artavian battalion. With the advent of the Artavian Flying Machine (An Airship, as they call it) the Artavian army realized the advantages of using such a thing in war, and began to train certain soldiers how to use them. With additive of weapons to the creation, they became a fantastic war machine. The problem for the people who have control of the machine (the Pilots) is that it is a relatively simple target for spell-slingers, and thus is often a maliciously dangerous position – though a high-paying one at that. Special Job Requirement: 200 Dexterity, 100 Luck, one year experience in another part of the army Paycheck: 7 500 per month
Sergeant Yet another rank in the army. While on the battlefield, the Sergeant will only take instructions from the General, and unlike the General, almost always goes into the heat of battle. The Sergeants join the soldiers in the fight, usually leading them. A lot of the time, enemy soldiers attempt to kill the sergeant and other officers, in hope that it will throw the infantry into chaos, but usually, even in the heart of the fight the Sergeant is followed about by a troop of soldiers. The sergeants and his soldiers move as a unit through the warfield. Special Job Requirement: 350 Strength, 200 Dexterity, 40 Luck. 2 Years experience in Infantry, Archer, or Calvary occupation. Paycheck: 7 500 Gold per month
Scout In every army encampment there are those individuals who need to find out what is out there, without the entire regiment moving on. This is where the scout comes in. The scouts are especially trained for the art of stealth, able to move through the wilderness in utter silence and report back what they see. Joining the army for this purpose, they are able to spot traps and enemy ambushes, effectively keeping the other individuals out of harms way. Special Job Requirement: 300 Dexterity, 50 Luck Paycheck: 700 Gold per month
Spy Much like the Scout, the spy is also bred and trained for stealth, however, his skills are put to a different use. The spy's goal and objective is to infiltrate an opposition, usually the enemy nation, and report back all things that could be considered of importance. When the word 'spy' is mentioned, many tend to think of a black-clad rogue sneaking about the halls of a palace eavesdropping in on conversations, but it is a lot more complex than this. Those kinds of spies usually end up getting caught, and so as time has passed spies have broadened their horizons, finding newer and newer ways to achieve their goals. Anyone can be a spy, from the innocent-looking obedient maid, to the supposedly dying old man down the road. The knowledge of a spy in the nation tends to raise anxiety among citizens, and so if a spy is ever discovered, the government is more likely than not, to keep the discovery within their ranks only. Being a spy is an incredibly dangerous job, for you are in enemy territory and utterly alone. Special Job Requirementst: 60 Wisdom, 300 Dexterity, 300 Luck. The work of a spy is intense, and feelings of panic can wash over one who has been trapped on enemy soil isolated for a long time. Every month, a spy must sacrifice 10 EXP in order to keep from gradually losing his/her mind. Paycheck: 5 000 Gold per month
Warlord The Warlord of a nation or civilization is the one who is in charge of all military decisions, his say being final. While a general may coordinate field battles, the Warlord on the other hand, coordinates the entire war. All soldiers will answer to him without question, and because of his position a Warlord would be wise to keep himself out of the reach of the average man, for killing a Warlord could very well send the war effort of a nation plummeting downhill with no way of coming back up. Only one per nation. Special Job Requirement: 600 of at least one stat, 400 of at least one other stat. 1 Year experience in General occupation. Paycheck: 100 000 Gold per month

Ichabod Afof applying for a job as a(/n) Loremaster
What is your experience? Telling stories is all I do. Its my life, and I feel the only way to truly become famous for something is to be it through and through... How can I do that if I cannot even call myself a Loremaster?
Why did you select this position? To become famous my skill in story-telling. I cannot write books due to my own disabilities and I have no talent for instruments or in singing. The only way to relay what I know if through my stories, and being known as a Loremaster will only help me grow more.

Endless Laeretti applying for a job as a(/n) Mercenary Where will you be stationed/will you be stationed in one place? As I wander, I'll be going from place to place, so no. I will not be stationed in one area. I may decide to create a sort of contact line, though...
What is your experience?
To be honest, I don't really have any in this field. But I've got a Gun, and am pretty intelligent. Also, I imagine telekinetic abilities would come in handy for this kind of work, especially with how often I can't be seen.
Why did you select this position? Frankly, it;s because I'm not a lot of use doing much else. It took me years to save up enough money just to start traveling when I was just doing chores for an old woman in the general District, and I wasn't even very good at that. Not to mention, I've got possession of a certain little something that can make this line of work easier...

Cherry Milerand applying for a job as a(/n) Clerk
Where will you be stationed/will you be stationed in one place? I was totally bummed about the Petshop! I hope Anna is doing alright... in any case, I think weapons are cool. Like, really cool. So I want to work in Dirysn Armament store. Kay?
What is your experience? Oh, I have tremendous experience working with people. Almost a hundred years, actually. I've been a clerk, a manager, a waitress, and a maid, so yeah, I think I'm more than qualified. <- I totally reused this answer! Yup.
Why did you select this position? Well, deary, Cherry needs some money. And when Cherry needs money, she gets a job, damn it! Ha, but in all seriousness, it was because I lost my job at the Pet Store (seeing as how it seems to have vanished off the face of Setsuwa. Oh, not worrisome at all.), and need a new place to work. I can't very well spend money I haven't earned, now can I? And weapons are nice, so it'd be fun to learn more about them~

Vincent Laeretti formally applying for a job as a member of the SSPB
Where will you be stationed/will you be stationed in one place? I will be posted in Submiere by default, but my status has me moving around a lot, as per M'Lord's orders.
What is your experience? I have been a member for ten years now, serving directly udner his Lordship - this is simply a formality, a renewal of my membership, if you will
Why did you select this position? It goes all the way back to my orphaned days, when I sought naught but a world ruled by Justice. This seemed like the obvious choice.
((Just posting this here to formally have his employment status changed on his stats page, lol))

Cherry Milerand has formally rescinded her employment at the Dirys Armory.
Cherry Milerand applying for a job as a(/n) Tailor
Where will you be stationed/will you be stationed in one place? I am stationed in Matiera in Niseca. Stop in sometime!
What is your experience? I have been designing and sewing my own clothes from scratch for years now. Over time, I've become considerably more skilled, and am able to create some very extravagant things all on my own.
Why did you select this position? My tailoring started out as a necessity, since I didn't have the money to buy fancy clothes for myself (or at least, that I would use), and had to find some way to adapt. However, as time wore on, I came to love it and made a hobby out of it, which eventually turned into a serious career goal. Now I'm getting my name out there, I have a shop opened up, and am ready to make it official! You'd be surprised what I can do with the right materials.
