NAME Ellis Danton GENDER Male RACE Aasimar AGE Twenty one HEIGHT Six foot nine WEIGHT Two hundred and sixteen pounds of mostly muscle APPEARANCE
Ellis is someone whom you can often see among a large crowd of people with his tall height and especially with his fiery red hair and a face sprayed with small freckles that match his hair perfectly. His hair, in its natural curly state, is often styled to keep out of his face and looks well kept. The colour of the hair, his mother says, is from his father.
His skin is pale, the freckles not helping it look any healthier - plus he has sunburns that shade his face to give it a small mask under his eyes. No matter how much time he spends in the sun, it does not change. His face shape is solid, perhaps even a handsome shape, he has a defined chin and masculine cheek bones. His nose is big, however, the only thing truly imperfect about his face. His eyes are almond shaped blue orbs that glitter in the sunlight.
His neck is thick and leads to broad shoulders and a muscular chest. This is covered (most often) by a pale blue jacket that represents his affiliation with his country. The emblem from the flag is on the breast of the jacket. Black lining is on his neck and down over the buttons before it gets to the bottoms of the jacket. The jacket looks as if it would continue down to his wrists, but two dark grey-blue, perhaps even black, gloves cover his arms and hand from his elbow down.
A small dark blue cape-like piece clips to parts of his shirt, his arms before his elbows as well as next to his neck under shoulder guards. It falls down to a few inches beneath his elbow. This provides warmth and balance.
Ellis' pants are simple and are just enough to cover up his chicken-legs. They are the matching pair to his jacket in pale blues with the same black-blue lining that was found in the jacket. His shoes are shiny, especially considering he almost always wears them no matter where he goes. PERSONALITY
Ellis is a distant person who has trouble making new friends or with even chatting with new people. Having been deserted by his father before he had even met him left him feeling at a loss for an identity and awkward with people - especially other men.
Ellis is shy, uncomfortable, and rather silent. Some assume he's deaf or dumb when they first meet him with his lack of speech. He does speak however, and when he does it seems comical. He possesses a noticeable stutter that seems to steal all the attention away from the voice of his which seems pure and radiant.
As far as the two extremes go for Aasimars, he is neither. He may seem like a loner, but he is not and he is most definitely not a leader. He works in groups, fights for the Aurcaelen battalion although some would consider him to be a loner with how secluded he acts even on the battle-field.
Although he may be offputting in first encounters, he opens up more as he gets to know a person - although not as quickly with men. Most men give up on befriending him due to how long it takes which leaves him with mostly female friends.
In love, he is even more awkward. The only person he's loved was his mother, because of how much time she spent raising him, but otherwise he doesn't seem to understand seduction or when a woman is coming on to him. Or if he does and tries to reciprocate, he does it clumsily and slowly and the woman loses interest.
The only thing apart from battle that he does well enough to be noticed for it is the piano. He is stellar with the keys, almost natural. It has begun to fade however, and he has had no opportunity to practice. SEXUALPREFS Straight LIKES

Long before Ellis was born, his mother met a man that she wanted to marry. She loved him to bits and pieces, she tells Ellis that he was a human warrior from Malscure. It seemed like one of those 'forbidden loves' that you always hear about it fairy-tales. It wasn't like those fairy tales however, and the moment he found out she was pregnant (or so his mother tells him) he high-tailed it out of there.
There were troubles with the pregnancy, something that often happened. Complications caused him to arrive four months late, and then for him to nearly kill his mother while doing so. He did not however, but he did make it so that she could have no more children - which made her a very unappealing choice for a wife.
She raised Ellis on her own, naming him Ellis due to its meaning which she was fond of - this was "Kind". She spent the small amount of money she earned on sending him to school and ensuring that he was well fed so that he could one day become a successful warrior like she dreamt he would be. He didn't truly want to be it, and at that time he resented her for that.
It was when she died a few months before his seventeenth birthday that he decided to chase after the dream himself, as a sort of 'final apology' to his mother whom he had caused much more trouble than was necessary for him to cause. He worked and worked, his status as a 'bastard' child and his awkward stuttering not helping him in what warriors and spies call "seduction school" but eventually he became so accomplished that it was impossible for him not to be noticed by some high-ranking official in the Aurcaeli Battalion. It did not take long. When the war in Atton started Xista searched and searched for the best of the best, among them was Danton.
Danton had fought in a few wars before this and had done undercover work, but he has still not made an attempt to move up in the ranks. That fact is slightly disappointing to his mother, but more-so would be him leaving the army. All for his mother, as he's still not completely convinced that its what he always wanted. Really, all he wants is to discover who the jerk who deserted his mother when she got pregnant is. STATS

Ellis closed his eyes, listening to the sounds that filled the cave like they were by some sort of dreadful symphony. The croaking of slimy little frogs, the echoing of the drips from the stalactite above, the squishing of mud at some creature’s feet. Rain was usually a sound that inspired him to go to the piano and key a bit - but this rain was heavy, it fell in torrents and soaked everything down to the marrow. It had no attractive sound, it only sounded like a rough and angry river destroying things in its wake…
His fingers seemed to move about twitching, as if they were playing a piano and trying to tune out the angry, slick sounds around him. His fingers tapping so relentlessly was all the practice he got nowadays, he was so busy with the Aurcaeli Army that he had no time to actually get to his piano and practice it. He knew the next time he tried to play he would merely decimate a song like what the weather outside was doing to nature’s song.
He wondered if Fiere could play an instrument as he could. He wondered if the man could sing, or knew a clever little tale that would bring entertainment to the day that seemed to be even more lost with every heavy drop of rain fell with a reverberating splash into the puddles that Ellis seemed sure would overflow. Ellis observed the man, again. But this time he took in the fingers - they didn’t look like fingers that played pianos, or a stringed instrument - perhaps one of those new brass ones? A drum? With the gruff voice, Ellis found himself doubting Fiere’s ability to sing - but of course, he was wrong quite often. He took the time to imagine Fiere singing, and it made him give a vague smile as Fiere seemed to take in what Ellis had just said. The very thought of such a man singing, well it made Ellis’ spirits lift with the gaiety of it all. He wished that he could send his emotions outside, lift the rain out and give a nice bright sun…
But at the same time, Ellis was liking this man. Sure, Ellis was nervous around him - but he was nervous around everyone. He liked this man, enough to not want to leave. With nearly anyone else he would have been dying to escape by now, but… Ellis stole another shy glance at the man, watching the different looks pass his face as he thought. Ellis saw the lines that were caused by the frown made while he thought, he saw the lines at the eyes and he saw that bulging Adam’s Apple in his throat. He unconsciously touched his own.
“Who knows, Ellis. I don’t think I could know had I…” Ellis’ eyes immediately became downcast and his fingers stopped their tapping in the air that resembled the playing of a piano and he nodded slowly, absently. Fiere was a smart man, did he really not think that if you were missing a part of yourself, that if there was a part of you living and breathing and eating and playing…
Did he not think you would notice? Sure, Ellis had not been in a situation, but he found it hard to doubt his logic. Of course - he looked back up at Fiere who seemed to be watching him and shivered - maybe Fiere had done such a thing. Ellis scratched his head and tucked a lock of unruly red hair away as he thought. Lines appeared at his mouth that were caused by his thinking frown, lines decorated the sides of his eyes as well as they narrowed in though. His Adam’s Apple pulsated in his throat as he swallowed and his dimples seemed to deepen.
“Do you really think so?” Ellis finally asked, his blue eyes locking with Fiere’s more oddly coloured ones as if asking him if he really knew what he was talking about. He looked at him for a bit longer, his fingers still, his voice so uncharacteristically strong. He didn’t stutter and his words were clear. “How do you know?” ORIGINS Aurcaele RESIDENCES Aurcaele #ofCHARACTERS Four
