Character Name: Tehodis Kitai
Gender: Female
Race: Kinaroe
Character Age: Twenty-Seven
Height: Five foot two
Weight: Nearly weightless due to her race, but it fluctuates. At her heaviest she is ninety pounds, at her lightest she is a mere five pounds. This is due to the lack of liquids and organ mass in her body. Almost everything is made of a gas-like substance inside her body.
Character Appearance: Tehodis seems to have a fairly girl-next-door like appearance with a soft face completed by doe eyes and a pleasant body to look at. Not a model, not the choice-girl, but not a bad choice.
Her peach-pale face is framed by dark, chestnut locks that form strong ringlets in few places and simply waves in others. It falls down to a few inches past her shoulder blades and seems to bounce whenever she walks.
He face is decorated by doe-eyes in a blue colour, a small (hardly perceptible) nose that looks probably too small and pale pink hued lips.
Tehodis' body finds itself rather curvy in the bust and hips, but she doesn't like the former since due to the size they are an unbelievable inconvenience when trying to pick out new clothes. That being the case her chest is almost always bound with bandages, very tightly, decreasing the apparent size of her bust. Her hips... Well she wishes she could do something to make them "less curvy" but without magically altering her body she can find no way to do it, and she's not one for artificial alterations.
Tehodis at one point would normally be seen wearing a plain, boring blue dress... With all of the changes in her life, however, that style has changed. Tehodis' clothing is far more new-aged now. Her usual outfit has now changed dramatically. The start of said clothes doesn't even begin until past her collar, the light blue, folded, fabric hangs around her shoulders, held up by magic. Below the folded bit in a darker blue, down past her chest, an empire waist pulls together the material showing her form. The clothes continue down to just barely down below her hips, where it ends abruptly. The arms of this piece are not in normal fabric, but in sheer, translucent fabric that falls down to just above her elbows. Silver and gold bangles decorate her wrists.
Dark blue nylon-like material pulls over her legs until an inch or so above the knee where it ends and a small bit of skin is revealed before her shoe begins. The shoes she wears are sandals, Grecian style with crisscrossing threads running up her leg. The end of the sandals have the smallest bump of a heel
More often than one would think you can see purple, blues and black on her body, as with her light weight and her low constitution she bruises exceedingly easy.
Special Power/Ability: General Magic/Sorcery, in other words, she can only do simple spells without an amplifier to enhance her spells.
Personality: Tehodis has a very temperamental personality. You can find her cowering in a corner, or right up in someone's (who could easily kill her) face. You see her calm and relaxed, or totally drunk (well not anymore, she's quit the stuff) and talking to everyone. She is extremely fickle, her mind changes all the time. Sometimes her mind changes when she realizes something (although obvious) that she completely forgot.
She is not the brightest bulb in the box either, perhaps one of the dimmer ones. The only time she's quite smart is when magic is involved.
She tries to say things that are profound and interesting... although normally only manages to do so when she's drunk. Which also used to happen relatively often. She loved to drink Whiskey, which also changes her personality upside-down and around. She has a low constitution and gets drunk easily after half of a bottle or tankard - which is now why she has stopped the habit.
The most predominant part of Tehodis' personality is her bravery. Of course, this can often be substituted with stupidity. She will try pretty much anything or anything. She will talk to anyone, she will yell at anyone, whatever. The only time she's not brave is when it has to do with intimate feelings like love. If you ever need someone to bring along on an adventure to be a decoy - Tehodis is your gal.
At one point in her life, she would have shied away from plenty of things that are changing in the world, the way new relationships are and the like... But now that she's realized it will keep changing until she changes with it, she has become far more independant - which would not have been accepted in the kind of society she grew up in.
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Likes: Her mother, Arianna Connelly, Kikuriku Gouken, justice, dancing, fanciful dining, beautiful dresses, dressing up... And any person who is not a complete jerk towards her. She doesn't have very high standards for what she likes, actually. Was everything she enjoyed included on this list, it would be far too large for words to explain. She doesn't like everything though...
Dislikes: Tehodis doesn't like how her brother, Nathaniel acts nowadays, since he came back from Atton. He seems like an overprotective older brother with the way he acts, but at the same time is forcing her into many a situation for the betterment of him. She is learning to deal with the new him (as the new her is developed) but there is someone she can't learn to deal with. She despises Tristan Cowell's attentions and the fact that she now clearly remembers what her past was like that involves Tristan Cowell.
History: Tehodis was born to Annette and Ricard Kitai after her brother. She was a frightening four months premature and the complication nearly ended in her mothers death, which wouldn't be uncommon in pregnancies in the time. Annette however was lucky, and so was Tehodis. Although having issues with magic and her own body she was fine. She, unlike other Kinaroe, needed a magical amplifier to perform any spells, even the simplest. She bruised easily, making her mother and father, and older brother when he was able to be, very protective of her.
She grew up happy and was betrothed to Tristan Cowell, the nephew of a politician in Malscure. They got along fantastically, and seemed perfectly happy to be with each other. Their wedding was set to when Tehodis was 20 in human years (seeing as he was far older, at around four hundred or five hundred).
Of course in the later part of their relationship he become busy. He was a top warrior in the Malscuran army and the battles were getting heated. Tehodis signed up as well, much to Tristan (and her family's) distaste.
The war went on. Her father, a Rielcian Sergeant died in battle, but his body was not found. There was much mourning in the Kitai family, except from Nathaniel, her older brother. A few days after the death was reported he disappeared from home.
Another death, the Malscuran Warlord. A huge surprise to almost everyone, of course he chose the youngest, best warrior to take over (at least temporarily, since he expected the boy not to live very long). Tristan Cowell. This made him even busier, keeping him from Tehodis. Tehodis got bored and, wanting to help, set out for the main battle-field. The place where everyone always seemed to be fighting. The other side wasn't stupid, and when given the chance to take something that would affect the well-performing new warlord in a psychological, emotional (and possibly physical) way, they did. Knocking her out they took her to see if some new technology in Artavia would be any good...
Replacing memories is difficult, and then weren't succeeding. When trying to replace good memories of Tristan with bad memories, they screwed up and left her with little to no memories. They had to teach her everything over again, and when then taught her what they wanted they released her into the world... back to her mother who had succumbed to Alzheimer's.
She met Dameon in Fiamont, and he assisted in relieving her of being there and getting her something for the thirst the hot area caused her small body. After that they became friends, he being her 'body-guard' until eventually they relayed their feelings to one another... And then Tristan interrupted with a proposition. By using a Bed of Everlasting Sleep he determined they would be able to decide who Tehodis' "true love" was. She agreed due to her cocksure ways, and then the result wound up being Tristan.
She was to be married to him, and was beginning to accept her fate... But then, to her luck, Rune (Dameon's brother) appeared, and he - wanting to mess with Tristan - helped her get to Dameon whom she proposed marriage to. In an attempt to celebrate and find people to invite to the wedding, she went to the Tavern in the General District where she was to meet two people who would quite change her life...
The first, Ichabod Afof, would attempt to get her as drunk as possible so it would be easy for him to capture her and then torture and eat her - this man got her off 'the juice', this situation made her quit drinking... And her saviour from this man? Kikuriku Gouken. He noted Ichabod's less-than-savoury motives, and helped her get away from the undeniable result of death... And of course, over the time the two spent together after that, they developed feelings for one another which forced Tehodis to call off her wedding with Dameon.
Of course, then Kikuriku was seen with Cherry Milerand in a compromising position that led Tehodis to believe he was not as chivalrous and perfect as she had once believed. She was angry, but decided it was a godsend. With advice from a friend as well as this nasty situation, she is attempting life as a single person. She had needed to be with somebody, anybody... But now, after that painful realization, she had decided to avoid that. To be her own woman. And that would start with getting a job, something she had never had apart from the war.

Roleplay Example: Elaina once again seemed to be listening - and thinking. Tehodis waited quietly for a reply, twiddling her thumbs as if she were in a cartoon. She had nothing else to keep her busy - not until she saw Elaina’s gaze shift. She didn’t follow it at first. People need their privacy, She thought, Even old friends.. So instead of bringing herself to ‘spy’ on this old friend of her’s, she looked down at the table and traced her fingers aimlessly along the knots of the wood…
Which got boring. Fast. She was quick to look back up, hoping Elaina would be turned back to her, hoping that she would tell Tehodis what to do and how to do it - she needed to know after all. Of course, Tehodis’ prayers did not normally get answered, and it did not seem to be any different. Elaina’s eyes were still locked onto something else as if she found it incredibly entertaining or interesting…
Tehodis decided to make a game out of what it was. Without looking. A… a… She thought of anything the other girl could be looking at as she used her hands as blinders to keep herself from cheating. Something. What was it? A cute clock that moved and had little things inside of it? That would be nice. Tehodis would have to look if that were the case, some clocks were very clever… What else could it be? A person? Was there a person Elaina knew? Was she talking to that person by blinking or something? Again Tehodis found herself tempted to look, but she forced her eyes down as she considered what other thing might be around over to where her gaze was so fixed. Was she looking through a window? Perhaps there was a street performer?… Tehodis always wanted to be one, at least… She was pretty sure she did. It seemed like such a neat job - but what could she do on the street that people would want to watch? She didn’t have any kind of talent.
She looked up again, her blue eyes darting to fix on the green orbs of Elaina’s with interest - of course, the other girl’s eyes were still set away from Tehodis… And now she couldn’t hold back the curiosity. It had not been more than… half a minute? It could not have been more. (If there was a cute little clock over there she would soon know if it had been more) She followed Elaina’s line of sight and fell upon the two guys Tehodis had only ambiguously noticed beforehand. One with blue-hair that seemed slightly familiar to her (where from she had no idea) and then the other with silver skin and a matching mop of hair sitting atop his argent scalp. She recognized him from somewhere as well. Where? She fought to think, but in the end found herself at the end of a confused rope.
Why was Elaina looking at him?
Now her mind was racing with thoughts about who these two men were, and what their affiliation with Elaina was instead of what the other girl was looking at. Perhaps Elaina could help Tehodis find out where she knew them from. It was always a possibility, right? She frowned in thought, her brows drawing in together in that way Kitai eyebrows seemed to always do. What were the possibilities? Well, Elaina could be their friends. When she saw Tehodis, and recognized her, she came over to help. Anything else? She wondered, biting her lip absently… She knew Elaina from her life with Tristan, who was to say that these other two weren’t from the same place? What if they were…
What if they’re working for Tristan? Her eyes seemed to widen and she gripped her wooden chair to ground herself nervously. What if they’re here… to kill me? Or take me back to him to be like… She trailed off, not wanting to consider it, but another part of her brain (a darker part, more pessimistic, a sadistic part) finished the thought for her with a tinge of misplaced happiness in its voice as it echoed through her mind, Tortured?
Elaina spoke and Tehodis shook herself out of it. No, that couldn’t be it. Just because she was friends with someone when she was with Tristan did not mean, under any circumstances, that they were out top get her; that they worked for Tristan. The thought may be there, but she refused it for now. She forced it into that dark corner of her mind and forced that dark corner into a room she hoped it wouldn’t escape from…
She knew it would though. Eventually. It always did.
“Have you ever considered that maybe being with someone just made it harder? You don’t know what its like to be single. Its pretty great. The freedom is…" Elaina seemed to pause as she propped her feet up - not only that, but she stole another glance at the silver-skinned man. The skin on Tehodis’ lip broke as she bit down too hard. Ow, She thought, flinching inwardly as she used her sleeve to clean the blood that rushed up at the new escape. “Breath-taking. Well, its what everyone needs anyhow.” When Elaina continued Tehodis stole an imperceptible glance at the silver-skinned man…
Maybe that explained it. Maybe they weren’t in cahoots, trying to kill her. The word breath-taking… It didn’t fit with the conversation. But if she liked the guy… Maybe they were in a relationship? Tehodis nodded at the thought, seeming to nod at Elaina’s words. But then, that door in the dark corner of her mind brought forward muffled sounds. Muffled sounds that still managed to be clear enough to force Tehodis to shiver in the depths of her mind: But why would Elaina condone being single if she herself was happy in a relationship?
Maybe they just have one of those new relationships. The physical ones, She told the voice in her head before speaking to her new-old friend. “Thanks Elaina,” Tehodis nodded happily with a convincing smile, just wanting to get out now that such a fear had grounded itself so solidly and seemingly immovably. She stood and dropped gold on the table to pay for her drink before she would head out to the street.
“I’ll keep all that in mind… Try to keep in touch, you know? I live out in Venefrica if you’re ever around there.” She waved a small goodbye before walking out of the place. Even as she left the room in the inn, even as she left the inn itself - that one part of her mind would not give in.
It spoke with he own voice, which gave her the shivers. It spoke as her, but it spoke to her. It spoke words she wouldn‘t let herself think on her own. That she had to let her subconscious deal with. Maybe they’re not in one of those new relationships. I‘m not always right about people. I‘m hardly ever right… Just look at how Endless turned out, hm?
