The Art of War
The Deity of Minerals, Diassei, as well as Streike, the deity of death, are the two of all in the divine pantheon who could be regarded as 'outcasts'. Yes, Diassei did quite a bit to contribute to the formation of the planet, such as the creation of her own nation as well as the assistance she contributed in the creation of nations for some of the other deities. However, her being pushed out of the society was not for no reason, because as time progressed she did quite a few things to get in the way of the others, and invariably make herself an enemy to all the existing deities.
The entire conflict began as a result of a particular race of creatures - the Element Embodiment. Many creatures are, and have been satisfied with believing that the deities were all powerful, that they had to succumb to their will and worship their eternal beauty. All of the embodiments, not too many at that time, but enough to pose a threat, came together to fight the power of the deities. A plan was formed amongst the embodiments, one that could only be carried out by one of them. Only one Embodiment of time has ever existed, a male by the name of Kuarkt. His control over the frames of time made him not only the most powerful embodiment of them all, but also quite possibly the most powerful mortal being to have ever existed at any point in time. And the plan rested completely on his able shoulders.
He took up the role of temporary leader, as the element embodiment are not a particularly societal group and therefore had no leader at the time. He went to the various races. The different spawns of elf and giant, even to man and demon, recruiting 'heretics', those beings who looked at the goddesses in the same light as did the embodiments themselves, and asked for help to form an army large and powerful enough to combat the forces of the deities. It was difficult to find a group of people large enough to pose a threat, as many of these men and women, despite their hatred of the goddesses, did not have the courage to so boldly stand against them, until Diassei walked into their midst.
They knew not who she was, for she guised herself in the form of a human female, and joined the ranks of the soldiers. However, despite their not knowing what she was truly capable of, she was able to use her abilities to manipulate the emotions and desires of the heretics, compelling them and instilling in them the necessary courage to form a force that could be great enough to stand heavy against the divine.
Diassei was a malicious individual. She was not one would call 'evil', because she did not particularly take pleasure in seeing the suffering of others nor was she out to conquer the world for her own wishes. However, she was one who would not hesitate to bring down a swift and terrible wrath on any who angered her, and felt that for some reason or other they could decide to take advantage of her. Into this category fell the other goddesses, and this hatred of all the others was what inspired her to join the mortals in a fight to extinguish the divine.
You see, Diassei, though extremely beautiful, as all the deities are, was still the least attractive. Amazing by normal standards, but not worth it by divine standards, and this led to some quite immature and prejudiced behaviour from some of the others. They never quite came out to say the reason they belittled her opinion was because she was not as beautiful as they were, but deep down, they knew it. And so did she.
The goddesses were not so childishly vain that they would base someone's worth on how they looked. But being so young and newly created back then, they were not as wise as they had given themselves credit for, and were yet to adapt to that which was 'different'. It was this ignorance that caused their belittling of Diassei, and brought about the most disastrous and dangerous war in history. For never before had a goddess gone up in violent arms against another with the aid of mortals, and never had such damage been done to the heavenly planes.
The War of the Heavens.
Commander of Fire, and of Ice
Kuarkt, though unaware of it, was functioning under the control of Diassei. She plucked on his mental strings and pulled him this way and that, and though he felt he was the one still in charge, Diassei had long since taken over the entire operation. She used him to raise herself to the highest stage in the ranks, allowing the embodiments and the others with them to look at her as being the highest level of authority, rivalled only by Kuarkt himself. This absolute control allowed her run things the way she felt needed to be run, and in truth, had she not done this, it was highly probable the war would have been over long before it even started.
She pulled on the weave and fabric of magic itself, and multiplied the power of Kuarkt to ridiculous proportions. The goddess Diassei was fuelled by frustration and anger, and a determination to prove that she was in no way inferior simply because she did not share the same beauty as the other goddesses. She somehow failed to see that the ones she was using, were not tools, but people with souls and feelings. No, she blocked that out.
Kuarkt, with assistance from Diassei, created another dimension entirely, and this was what they would use to serve as their fortress. Travelling back and forward into time, they recruited a various number of creatures from far and wide -over, and over again- to the point that their army was now of immense proportions. The goddess of minerals heading this operation automatically meant that they had access to a limitless amount of much needed materials for the building of war machines. The biggest, and most dangerous army the planet had ever known had now been created, and was headed by the goddess of minerals, Diassei.
Ayniea, Streike, Sriae and Temos were absent for the duration of the war. However, the rest had no inhibitions when it came to swift and violent retribution on those who had dared to come up against them. Diassei knew her 'sisters' could not be defeated simply by an army that seemed large enough to combat any force, because these were not just any 'force'. These were the ones who created it all, and they needed tact in order for this to work. Kuarkt suggested they find the goddesses one by one, and annihilate them with sheer numbers, but Diassei had a much more mechanical plan.
Following her instructions, Kuarkt and his lieutenants tracked down and cornered the deity of ice, Fiorre. The goddess was at that time, roaming the frozen landscapes of Aissic, struggling to understand if she had more of a reason for being than to simply be powerful. The Embodiments rushed at her, catching her off guard and attempting to incapacitate her. The various embodiments, some of pure lightning, others of fire, ice, water, earth and wind, brought upon her the greatest abilities they could muster. Yet even in their great power and large numbers they could not bring the goddess down, until Kuarkt intervened. He may not have had any kind of an effect over the goddess as he previously was, but with the divine power of Diassei flowing through his veins, he had enough power within him to stop the body of the goddess in time. The Embodiments were able to bring her harmlessly back to the feet of Diassei.
Diassei, mistress of the minerals of the planet, knew how best to manipulate the components of the metal with the intricacies of magic and the elements, and thus was able to create two collars, which came to be known as the collars of Kuarkt. She knew it was best to name them after Kuarkt as all the soldiers looked up to him, and she had to be careful she made sure she did nothing that could bring doubt to their minds and possibly divide their loyalties. The lesser races could be frail in that manner, and they could not afford to be split between who was greater in she and Kuarkt at such a crucial moment.
She put one of the collars on the neck of Fiorre, and the goddess immediately fell under the whim and control of Diassei. Soon enough, Paiia was brought before Diassei as well, as the deity of fire had also been caught in much the same manner as had been Fiorre. The second collar was slipped onto the neck of Paiia. Diassei, using Kuarkt and the others, had put the sovereigns of fire and ice under her control. Now three deities were assisting the embodiments in the fight to destroy the heavens. As it was, not much could possibly go wrong.
Walking With Spirits
Diassei was not happy. She had proven to Paiia and Fiorre that they were not better than she was simply because they were more attractive. What right did they have to look down on her? She may not have been as beautiful as they were, but she was attractive in her own right! Mortal men went weak at the knees upon the sight of her elegant face and shapely body, and many had said she was the most beautiful creature they had ever seen. Then again, they hadn't seen the others... only the embodiments had... her motives had changed. No, it was not enough to prove to the others that she was just as good, and maybe even better. She had to kill them. If they were dead, then no one would be more beautiful than she was, and this problem could never have a base from which to once again spawn itself.
The followers of Paiia and Fiorre mindlessly heeded the instructions of their deities, unaware that the ones they worshipped were now under the authority of another power. These followers attacked the followers of every other goddess, and a war broke out among the mortals. Almost every nation fell into civil war, and some even into war with others. Religion is the thing that holds an individual together, and sometimes the only thing that could keep one going. The amount of zealous effort put in by the followers of fire and ice to exterminate the competition was astounding. The death toll was to the point that Streike, the deity of death, was forced to create a temporary double of herself - a weaker version, just to keep up with the in-pouring souls.
But that was not enough for Diassei, as the time for offence was over. Now was the time for defensive maneuvers, for the other 'sisters' had discovered her plot, and were coming down on her in full wrath. While Kuarkt's storage of soldiers now began rolling out from their home dimension, coming onto the material plane and engaging the faithful followers and nations of the other goddesses, Diassei, Kuarkt, and the few embodiments involved in the battle and kidnapping of the two deities of fire and ice, decided to pull out every single projectile they had in their arsenal in order to win the war.
Kuarkt's personal mages constructed a spell to reach into the realm of endings, and from within it was summoned several beasts. These beasts, with the body of a massive ox and eyes that slant in an odd manner, none of them less than twenty feet in stature, were known only as the Akhos, and the source of their existence remains a mystery. Impossible for any mortal to tame they may be, but they whimpered before the very sight of the goddess of minerals, and fell under her instruction with naught but a few words. And then, they waited, for the oncoming barrage they all knew would eventually make it's way to them.
It could have been considered a sort of final stand to some, but to Diassei this was just the beginning. And there they stood, a goddess, two deity-puppets, twenty one embodiments, and fifty Akhos, awaiting the arrival of the wrath of the other deities who had so far not been affected.
The time for final retribution had come for Diassei.
True Mortal
Veira, Moann, Miynie, Khades, and Fayana descended from the heavens, armed with divine might, seething rage and an intense hatred. Tornadoes, Earthquakes, Electric Storms, Meteor Swarms, and the like, were tossed around from enemy to enemy with questionable ease. The Akhos were of course, the first to be freed from the boundaries of the living, as the spirit beings were annihilated by the deities in the first hour of the fight. They did not go down without leaving a mark though, because with their strength in numbers and lethal abilities, they were able to incapacitate the goddess Fayana. As her power lay in nature, her weakness lay in creatures whose ability it was to sicken the environment.
Had it not been for Kuarkt, the fight may have been a bit more evenly matched. However, the abilities he had developed had nearly stated him to the point of divine magics, and his control over time was almost omnipotent. With his powers, the fight was twisted in the favour of the ones who hold the hatred of the goddesses, and eventually, Veira was soon defeated as well.
The battle raged on, and one by one the goddesses fell to the power of the goddess of minerals, fire, ice, and the power of the embodiments. The five were carried off to a special place made by Diassei. This place was known only as 'the forge', and as the mistress of metal had built it herself, it could very well be said to be the only place in history that has ever been able to hold in a deity against her will, other than Illias Morgul in the underworld, of course.
The battle had been won, with Diassei victorious. Mountains had been moved, the islands had been parted, the skies had burned in the heat of the battle, but in the end, she was victorious. She was better than them... and it had been proven. Now was the time to ensure that such a thing could never happen one more time. And that was when she began to work on the most dangerous and powerful weapon ever constructed in the history of Setsuwa - Shiart-Mashei, the God Killer.
She and Kuarkt both pitched into the construction of this magnificent creation, while the others went out to seek the location of the remaining goddesses. Ayniea, at this time, had already been turned into the magnificent tree Mialen, and had been in this state long before the start of the war. Sriae, as a result of Ayniea's antics in the underworld, had been bound into herself, unable to move, and had been taken deeper into the bowels of the underworld by the goddess of death, Streike, for machinations of her own. Those three were already out of reach to Diassei, at least at that point in time. Temos was absolutely nowhere to be found, even to the far reaching eyes of the embodiments.
Diassei devised a plan to reach Streike, and Sriae, but the battle with the other five goddesses had weakened she, Paiia, and Fiorre, which meant they did not have the power required to break that deep into the pit to reach for Streike and Sriae. No, some rest was needed. Perhaps all that saved Ayniea from being destroyed at this time, in her helpless state, was that Diassei decided she was not a threat, and destroying her could be put off till later. Even as a tree, it is not so easy to destroy a deity.
After a year of almost non-stop work, God-Killer was created. God-Killer was a gauntlet, with claws of a celestial metal which is yet to be discovered. Forged with a mixture of god-blood and the magics of the realms, this gauntlet was the only weapon ever created that could kill a goddess. Before then, the only other thing that could kill a deity was if that deity chose to kill herself. With the creation of this weapon, the rules of the universe had changed. Because now, even in the hands of a mortal, a goddess could fall, if the mortal had the skill and endurance to wield the God-Killer.
Putting on the dark gauntlet Shiart-Mashei, Diassei descended into the pit alone, even in her weakened state, for she did not even need to be at her best, not as long as the God-Killer was on her arm. Shiart-Mashei changed everything, for with it's power, even the goddesses were shown to be just as mortal as the ones they looked down upon. In the end, everything was truly mortal. The final moment had come. It was time to bring judgement on those who had judged for so long.
Shed a Tear, for the Fallen
The Judges of the underworld were going through another day, a day that had become routine ever since the wars on the surface world had begun over religious supremacy. A day that involved judging more souls than had ever been. A day that was moving even slower and testing the fairness of the judges... as now they seemed to want to bring about a swift judgement and move on to the next case, whether or not the decision was as fair and just as it should have been. They were soon released from their duty however, as the goddess Diassei came storming into the underworld. The second deity to decide the break into the pit alone, but this time, unlike the one that came before her, things would be different. For this goddess wielded Shiart-Mashei.
The defenses of the underworld sprang into action, but as swiftly and easily as one might sweep aside a piece of parchment from a desk, so were the forces pushed away by the God-Killer, weapon of weapons. Into the heart of two of the judges went the gauntlet, pulling the life from within them. They were the first and only judges to have been killed in the history of the underworld. This was what began the legacy of the God-Killer. The ending of the life of the decision makers of death.
Streike, who had a separate set of plans of her own, was so deep in her Alchemic studies she had remained unaware of the break-in for a very long time. Not until Diassei came into her own personal chambers, the jaws of Shiart-Mashei open, thirsty for the blood of a god. This was the second intrusion of her land by a goddess, and needless to say, Streike was not pleased. It was punishment enough having to be put over this duty, but it seemed the others had taken it upon themselves to come in and come out as they pleased, usually over completely foolish issues.
A short conversation took place between the two, no more than two sentences long, and has been chronicled by Streike in the book of the dead.
"I have done nothing to you. Never have I ridiculed you like the others. Why do you seek my blood?"
Diassei's mind had been so corrupted by her anger and hate she now only thought in absolutes, her own sense of right and wrong having long since evaporated. Streike was not her enemy, but she refused to allow herself see that. "Because you are one of them."
Diassei reached for the heart of Streike, but the Alchemic master displayed that there was more than meets the eye when it came to the overlord of death. Shiart-Mashei connected with the chest of the goddess, moved in, and pulled out her living heart. But that was not the goddess. It was the duplicate Streike had spent much magic and study creating, a being of immense power, and it's death only served to fuel the already negative feelings Streike had for one so undisciplined and full of anger as Diassei.
Acting quickly, the webs of the dark powers of the underworld loosed Shiart-Mashei from the hand of Diassei, leaving the now panicked and essentially helpless goddess attempting to escape. Without the God-Killer, in this place, she would surely die. Even had she been at her full power. There was no life down here, no nutrition, no natural substance of any sort. It was a dark place. A place in which she had little to no power, as was proven.
She was taken by the judges, and a new area was created for Diassei. This place known was known as Illias Morgul. Impossible to translate directly into common, although those celestial beings who have made an attempt have come to the conclusion it has something to do with the imprisonment of an immortal being.
A Great and Terrible Beauty
Despite the losses being made in Ephilroa by Diassei, who had managed to fumble her own intricately constructed plan, Kuarkt was still in charge and still victorious on the surface world. The mortal being who had five goddesses in chains and utterly powerless. But as it turns out, the beauty of these women was not something to be taken lightly, and was a weapon in it's own right. One of the lieutenants of Kuarkt, an element embodiment, developed a fatal attraction to the goddess Paiia so great, that he made probably the most foolish mistake anyone ever has.
He released Paiia from the confines of her collars, and the heat of a holy fire was brought to bare on those who had decided they could stand up against the goddesses. Including him.
Now free, and able to wield her power of her own volition, she destroyed the collar which held Fiorre, and released the chained deities from their prison. Now the heretics had to face the anger of seven merciless women who were determined that none involved in this terrible act would survive. Together, they brought these armies to bare the consequences of their actions.
In order to avoid any kind of possibility of a second insurrection, the goddess Miynie, deity of Illusions, using borrowed power from the combination of all the other goddesses, created a planet-wide spell. This spell sent a wave across the globe, and the memory of the war was wiped from the minds of every single individual who had ever heard of it or seen any trace of it's happening. This period was known as the 'Great Blackout'. It was christened such because of the blank spaces left in the minds of every creature on Setsuwa.
I Will Be Free
The dark caverns that made up Illias Morgul is where Diassei, the deity of minerals has been kept. She is chained down to the walls so tightly she may not even tilt her head forward. These chains, forged from the demon-fire of the underworld, have made it impossible for her to do anything but blink. Wrapped around her body, her legs, her arms, her neck, even her forehead. Here she has been for millenia.
Once a year, with permission from Streike, Fiorre is allowed to come into the underworld and cut Diassei. This single drop of her blood is poured into the earth, revitalizing it's minerals and giving the mortal beings on the surface the materials they need to advance themselves, and provide for their families.
Illias Morgul is a pitch black place, with not a shed of light. However, any who were to garner enough light to take with them into this room, and were to look into the eyes of Diassei would come across an interesting, yet frightening sight.
In her eyes, they would see the burning determination the goddess has to escape and take her vengeance. The hatred that has twisted her mind to the point of no recovery. And they will forever quake in thought of the day that Diassei will be free once more. For when that day comes, even the celestial beings will run and hide, for Diassei's eyes see no difference between enemies, and friends.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Personality
While she did not initially start out that way, Diassei is an extremely powerful and malevolent being. And she is very much aware of this. She is not the kind to warn a person twice, and it is more than likely that if you offend her two times in a row, you will find you are a soul floating around in the underworld before you were even aware that you had done anything wrong. She has no patience for stragglers and no time for the useless. Once she sets her mind on a goal, she will never stop until she accomplishes it or until someone puts a stop to her, which has only occurred once, in the case of Streike.
Her former personality was like that of a child. Curious and innocent, wanting to know more not just about herself, but about the world around her. But subtle ridicule and unknowing prejudices changed her into the monster that she is today.
She harbours, and almost always has, an extreme hatred of every other goddess in existence. Now that she has been chained in the underworld, probably for the rest of eternity unless something is done to free her from her bonds, she has allowed this hatred to spread to almost everything else. The goddesses killed the other ones who humiliated them, but while they could have easily have killed her with the God-Killer, they did not, instead leaving her to rot. This has given her the impression that the others look at her as being of even less worth than those beings. This raised jealousy, and an inferiority complex was built. Now she views everything as being better than herself, and the solution: They must all be killed.
[What she is unaware of is that she was not killed because the other deities had no way of ending her life. Shiart-Maishen was taken by Streike secretly, and to date none of the other goddesses even know of it's existence]
------------------------------------------------------------------
Men of the Land
The men of the land is the closest thing that Diassei has to a church. These are those miners, blacksmiths and other worshippers of Diassei who have taken their adoration of their own occupation and turned it into a religion, with Diassei as their Patron Deity.
The Men of the land gather in 'The Colony', which I will move into more detail of in due time. The Men of the land number far and wide, and sometimes are even joined by those of their same occupation who have not chosen to worship their job. Every year, around the midsummer time is when the men meet, and celebrate the festival of Neourn.
Jakael Manim
Jakael Manim is the leader of the men of the land. He is the one who imposes the strict rule that there need be no rules, for he does not want the followers of his god to end up like a lot of the others. He believes that religions allow themselves to become mindless slaves to the leaders of the cause. He also wants to avoid this because he does not want to let himself become corrupted by power. It is as simple as the old saying: Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Jakael Manim is a human, but he is still looked up to by a lot of the races who do not even like humankind for his ability to share unending kindness in all directions in the name of the richness and nurturing of Setsuwa.
------------------------------------------------------------------
The Colony
The Colony was first developed by an unknown traveller. All that was known of him was that he was a worshipper of Fayana, but soon converted to a worshipper of Diassei. He just so happened across the spot that Fiorre annually drops the single drop of blood taken from Diassei. He knew not what was happening, and did not even notice the speck of blood that hit the ground. However, he did observe the sudden changes in the landscape. Before his very eyes, the plants looked just a bit more vitalized as the necessary nutrients they needed were multiplied in the soil.
He spent some more time at this post, observing, digging, trying to understand. The reserves of precious materials he came across just after a few feet of digging was astounding. Steel, copper, unprocessed silver and gold, uncut diamonds. What he discovered there was so amazing he fell to his knees and sang praises to the only deity he knew could be responsible for an act such as this - Diassei. His love for Fayana died almost immediately, and his new obsession was Diassei. He had never once seen a miracle from Fayana, but an act of heavenly intervention such as this stunned him to no end.
Harvesting a small amount of what he found there, he went out and hired some builders. He made sure the builders built there without going to deep into the soil, lest they discover the amazing treasures under the surface and decide they would like to get violent with him and run off with it. There were ups and downs, especially at the initial stages of the development of the colony. Because now that there were more people living in this commune there was multitudes of more conflict, but they got past it.
Had it not been for the very close and personal friend of the traveller, a wizard by the name of Knox, who cast a web of peace over the area, people would surely have killed each other there. To boast the power of the wizard, the spell still exists to the current time, and though it is possible for violence to break out, it is extremely difficult for an individual to gather the required anger needed to break through the hold of the spell. The person must have done something very terrible to you, such as killing a family member.
Demons can be violent in he colony regardless of emotion, as they can ignore this particular spell.
The colony is now a thriving place, several towns wide in it's diameter. It is almost the center of trade, and is surely the center of mineral extraction. Caravans come from far and wide in order to exchange and trade at the Colony. Not all the men of the land live in the colony, and those who do not come from wherever it is to the colony at the time of the Festival of Neourn.
The Festival of Neourn
The Festival of Neourn, occurring exactly at the beginning of spring, is that time of year when Fiorre, the deity of Ice, goes down into the underworld with the permission of Streike, and takes a drop of blood from the imprisoned Diassei. Fiorre will then fly through the skies at this time, and when she does so, looks like a passing star. She will let that one drop fall onto the soil, and Setsuwa will be enriched with mineral resources once more, with that spot being the crux.
The Men of the Land, not knowing the true story behind what is happening, believe Fiorre in fact, to be Diassei. Whenever Fiorre flies past through the skies, they are all there, already waiting. They are unaware that a drop of god-blood is dropped down, but think that is simply the power of Diassei enriching the soil as she flies past. The particular spot with the most concentration of nutrition is the same particular spot the blood drops every year, and making their judgements from measurement, the Men of the Land clear that area. Why? Because once, the drop of blood landed on the head of a woman, as the area had been too crowded at that time. The woman, as a result was turned into a statue of salt, gold, silver, and different metals and chemicals.
Not knowing what had happened, the Men of the Land attributed it to that area being the concentration of power, and consecrated it as 'Holy Ground', and when it is the time of the festival, no one is allowed to set foot within a hundred meter radius.
The Festival is one of the most joyful times of years for these people, as now is the time they have to truly relax and have fun that cannot be criticized. A massive feast is prepared for all, and there is singing, dancing, and merriment. The Festival of Neourn is a time of gathering and fun for all, where everyone may enjoy themselves in the name of Diassei, the bringer of prosperity.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Savant
Savant, contrary to popular belief, is an individual. The lore of Savant has him being the glorious forge of Diassei whereas in truth he is the forger, and the one who was in charge of making almost everything Diassei came up with during her time on the surface, before she was imprisoned. He has no soul, and no mind of his own. His only actions are those which are given to him by his mistress, Diassei. Upon her imprisonment, his body ceased to work, and he has remained motionless since. His current location is unknown, but it is believed by Fayana that he is buried somewhere deep underground, as it is very likely that the seasons that changed the landscape over the millennia have long since conquered his body.
The Forge
The Forge was Savant's own personal working area. Maybe a proper name would have been given to it assuming another goddess was in charge, but Diassei was more interested in her quest for the domination of the other deities, and Savant did not have enough of a mind to name it himself. And so, not wanting to push his luck and name the area, but needing a way to refer to it, Kuarkt simply named it the Forge, and it has been named thus ever since.
The forge currently lies fifty feet below the ground, in the realm of endings. The gates to the forge have been locked ever since Diassei was locked up, and the doors, made by the efforts of both she and Savant, are indestructible to any weapon known to have been created by god or man. The only two known ways to open the gate was with a drop of Diassei's blood, or with a drop of Savant's blood.
Legend holds that in the Forge, one may create almost anything they wish, as long as they possess the skill it takes to craft metal, and can bypass the lethal traps laid there by Kuarkt for any enemy soldiers attempting to infiltrate during the war.
Collars of Kuarkt
Not fully expanded on in the life of Diassei. The Collars, as stated before, were created by the combined efforts of Diassei and Kuarkt, both instilling their power into them to give the necessary force required for what they needed to be used for. The collars were both a gleaming white, and studded with diamonds. These diamonds were not normal gems, mind you, but a void-black of the sort that is yet to be understood. Some old writings of an element embodiment -one of the few pieces of proof that the war ever happened still in one piece- state that it was possible the gems were empowered with the souls of demons, and that is why they have such a malicious shade.
The collars were supposedly indestructible, but this was proven wrong, as the goddess Paiia used her mastery of fire to sunder that which held the neck of Fiorre, and thus was one of the collars destroyed. The one which had held the neck and will of Paiia however, has been lost to time, and none know enough about it to actually seek it out. It is entirely possible some fool has come across this mighty artifact and has absolutely no idea what it is that lies in his possession. Then again, it is also possible that Paiia destroyed it, or even kept it for her own uses. After all, a collar with the power to dominate even the will of a goddess is not the sort of thing you come across on a daily basis.
Shiart-Mashei
The legendary God-Killer. The name runs in the language of demons. Although this is yet to be proven, it is still theoretically possible that the gauntlet is actually capable of killing a god. It had demonstrated it's power in the underworld when it was used to kill two of the immortal judges and even the replica of Streike. And all this while being used by a being who was more or less powerless in that environment and in the condition she was.
The Gauntlet is pure black, with not a blemish to be seen. Along its sides run a thin trimming of unstained gold. On the palm of it are unreadable runes, written in a language so ancient only the goddesses may understand it. And on it's back lies the mystical sigil of Diassei, which pulses with an unholy light.
The Gauntlet is nigh indestructible, as Streike has tested it to the limits of its power and has seen that it is incredibly difficult to even lay a scratch on this piece of armor. The finger tips are impossibly sharp, and are the main offensive of the glove. This artifact truly is not one to be trifled with.
Currently it is hidden by Streike, and no one knows it exists or that it is with her, not even the other goddesses.
If anything, this Gauntlet, made by Diassei, who started out as any other would, pure and curious, shows us that anyone can turn toward the darkness. Anyone gazing into the hate-filled eyes of Diassei, locked in Illias Morgul will forever be reminded, that with a strong enough push, you can go down the road of vengeance with so much zeal, that you may never be able to turn yourself back around.[/blockquote]
